Bar Harbor Campground is the closest to the town of Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The features include paved roads, swimming pool, laundry and strategically located restrooms. The unusual feature is "no reservations." First come, first served, pick your site, get settled then go register. Want to stay longer? No worry. just go pay for more days. Full hookup runs $38/day, moderately priced for the area. Other parks in the area go for $60/night and up.
We struggled with Verizon cell coverage and the PC air card was intermittent. The wi-fi was wi-iffy, very poor reliability operating on the "b" standard.
